Church of Jasper is a gospel-centered fellowship that seeks to be shaped by the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Ghost. We hold to the historic Christian faith and desire to live in a manner worthy of the Jesus Christ, and our great calling.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and sufficient Word of God. It is our authority for faith and practice. We are committed to the careful teaching and application of Scripture in the life of the church and the individual believer.
We believe in one God, who is divine perfection, who execute Judgement on evil, and mercy on the rightous. The very work of creation, providence, and redemption.
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, the Only Begotton of the Father. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as atonement for sin, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return for a church without spot, wringkle, or blemish, who have made themselves ready.
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. A gift of God, offering up good works, layin up treasures in heaven, resulting in a transformed life of obedience and love for God and neighbor.
We believe the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of the Lord, and it dwells in us, seals, and empowers to do the will, and the work of God. We seek its guidance, presence, and power in daily life, desiring to walk in step with the Spirit as Christ taught the early church.
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of true believers. Locally, we gather as a community of faith for worship, teaching, prayer, fellowship, and edification. We value the simplicity of the early church and the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
We believe every believer is called to a life of righteousness, holiness, and good works prepared by God. We contend for the faith once delivered to the saints and pursue a deeper walk with the Lord that is marked by love, humility, and obedience.
